Our Process

Custom Invite Design

Paper Girl uses the following guidelines to time out the custom invite design process before your event.

For miscellaneous parties, we recommend getting invites out 2 months prior to the event with RSVPs due 1 month prior to the event.

For weddings, save the dates are typically sent out about 6-8 months prior to the wedding date. Invitations are sent 8-10 weeks before the wedding with RSVPs due one month before the wedding. Local weddings can veer on the shorter side of those time frames and destination weddings can veer on the longer side of those time frames.

The custom invite timeline typically goes as follows:

  • Meet & Greet call and delivery of contract [1 day]

    • Discuss deliverables

    • Review estimate and timeline

    • Initial 50% deposit due upon return of contract

  • Design [1-2 weeks if no revisions required]

    • Digital print emailed one week after your contract is signed.

    • If desired, a physical mock-up can mailed or reviewed in person one week after digital proof is approved. Local physical proofs are $3, shipped physical proofs are $5.

  • Fabrication [3-5 weeks]

    • The printing, cutting, folding, addressing, and envelope stuffing process can vary based on the size of your wedding and complexity of your invites. We’ll review a projected fabrication timeline at your meet and greet call and establish a due date for your invitations at that time.

  • Delivery

    • Final 50% of payment due.

    • Stationery delivered by our agreed upon due date.
